Nadi is the location of the international airport in Fiji where all tourists arrive. Most tourists stay in Nadi at least one night before heading off to another island and some use the town and its beach suburbs of Wailoaloa and Denarau Island as a holiday base with an excellent choice of accommodation from large international brand hotels to smaller more affordable hotels and backpacker hostels. The town itself lies inland on the Nadi River and has good restaurants and boutique shops but thyere are few other attractions. Cultural and sightseeing tours are available around the island as well as day cruises, game fishing and surfing charters to the offshore reefs.
